About Me

Hi, I’m Durga Arivan

Integrative Psychotherapist

A person is a fluid process, not a fixed and static entity; a flowing river of change, not a block of solid material; a continually changing constellation of potentialities, not a fixed quantity of traits.
I’m not perfect… But I’m enough.

– Carl Rogers

In my clinical practice, I come across people from all walks of life, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic populations across the lifespan presenting various mental health concerns. Despite the vast range of theoretical knowledge, I don’t follow a template, or ‘one size fits all’. We start where you are & we work towards your goals.
My counselling style is energetic, direct, integrative, and empowering with one basic motto that
"different folks need different strokes".
My personal and professional view in mental health professional allows for some interesting and sometimes uncomfortable insights into the mental health system in the Singapore.
The current generation can access wide range of treatments and good understanding of mental and emotional health, therapy and counselling under their thumb. Despite the fact on growing population with mental health conditions, there is still lack of awareness, acceptance and the sense of fear around the topic till date.

Why mental health matters? Honestly educating on mental health or challenging the stigma of concerns related to mental health is a mission as difficult as removing Thanos’s gloves. We need a collaborative approach that helps us not only think progressively but build a world for sustained and balanced healthy living.

Let your hope stroke your life, Join me!
