Online Counselling/Psychotherapy

If there is any one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person’s point of view and see things from that person’s angle as well as from your own

What is Marriage & Family Therapy?

Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) is a form of psychotherapy that addresses all family members’ behaviours and the way these behaviours affect not only individual family members but also relationships between family members and the family unit as a whole. The sessions include focussing on individual therapy and couple therapy, family therapy, or both, if necessary.

MFT may also be referred to as couple and family therapy, couple counselling, marriage counselling, or family counselling.

Advantages of Online Counselling/Psychotherapy

  • A private safe space where you will not be disturbed during the session
  • Access to a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone
  • Access to a video camera with sound (usually integrated into your device)
  • The greatest value for those with challenges making it to the therapy room due to geographical distance, mobility, anxiety, and fears around stigma.
  • It allows clients to remain anonymous if so desired and keep their counselling journey private.

What To Expect

Perhaps you’re down or anxious, not confident, feeling unsure or how to plan the next major step of your life or just feel that you aren’t living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer professional guidance, confidential self-discovery, true autonomy, positive outlook and empathetic support without any judgement.

Your initial appointment will likely be more rewarding if you do a little homework ahead of time. Doing so will not only help you clarify why you are seeking professional help but will also help the therapist.

Before your appointment, make a list of:
  • Any issues, concerns, or symptoms you are coping with, even if they seem to be unrelated or are not why you are seeking therapy.
  • Key personal information, including any major stresses or recent life changes
  • All medications, vitamins or other supplements that you’re taking, including doses
  • Questions to ask your Therapist
